March 8 is not just a day to celebrate women\u2019s achievements but also a time to reflect on the challenges that still lie ahead. This year, the message is clear: \u201cFor ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.\u201d <\/p>\n\n

Last year, we highlighted various programs and initiatives designed to support female entrepreneurs and business owners, aiming to bridge the gender gap and boost women’s participation in international trade. However, the challenge remains significant. This year, we want to focus on what we can do within our own sphere to create a more equitable and inclusive industry.<\/p>\n\n

We know that the logistics and international trade sectors have traditionally been male-dominated. While more women are entering the field, their representation remains low, especially in executive and leadership roles. According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), women make up approximately 24% of the global workforce in logistics. However, recent studies show that female representation in supply chain management has stagnated\u2014or even declined in some cases. For instance, in Germany, only a small fraction (8.6%) of leadership positions in logistics are held by women. <\/p>\n\n

That\u2019s why, as a company and as individuals, we can take concrete steps to promote inclusion and support the professional growth of women in our industry:<\/p>\n\n

  1. Cultivate an inclusive workplace culture \u2013 Create an environment where equal opportunities aren\u2019t just an ideal but a reality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Highlight female leaders \u2013 Recognize and amplify the achievements of women in logistics to inspire future generations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Implement equitable policies \u2013 Ensure equal pay, promote workplace flexibility, and establish mentorship programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Support women\u2019s training and leadership development \u2013 Provide opportunities for career advancement so more women can step into strategic roles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Increase female participation in technical and operational roles \u2013 Encourage and support women\u2019s entry into key positions within the supply chain.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    Gender diversity isn\u2019t just about equality\u2014it\u2019s also a powerful driver of innovation and growth.
